Explore Musicality
My goal is to teach the language of music… what I call Musicality.
Music is everywhere, and yet very few of us are actually aware that music is a language just like French or English. Anyone, at any level of musical understanding and skill, can deepen their connection to the musical language and learn to express themselves through it.
Through music, one can express ideas and emotions just as deep and complex as any idea expressed through any language made of words.

Learn to Play a New Way
I teach Musicality.
Teaching music is different from teaching musicality.
I believe that instrumental technique and music theory are secondary to the learning and understanding of music.
I believe that the most important component to becoming a musician is developing Musicality, rather than focusing solely on the right notes and the accurate techniques.

Become Musical
Whether you are learning to play the guitar, the bass, or the saxophone; the foundation of musical learning comes through the development of listening.
Music is a vehicle for emotion and our lessons will place the focus on exploring the understanding that music has the capacity to move us in myriad ways.
I teach you to listen to music through the heart. When I teach students, whether they are 3 or 70, we develop our musical skills through the emotion and feeling that is produced by the sounds that are played.
Studying Music with Christophe will teach you how…
To relate to music through feeling and not mathematical reasoning.
To learn to connect to rhythm instinctively.
To learn that rhythm is the foundation of how musical storytelling is created.
To learn to navigate the world of sounds via listening and not reading.
To grow theoretical understanding along with musical understanding.
To learn to be musical before learning to be a musician.
Born in France, Christophe Ambrosino has been immersed in the world of music for over 30 years. Beginning his musical journey with studying saxophone, he has since expanded his repertoire to include the guitar, bass, percussion, flute, piano and, of course, his voice.
Christophe holds a degree in physical education and worked as a camp counselor for 5 years before becoming a high level gymnastic coach. After leading several teams to victory, he reoriented his life towards his first passion: music.
In France, he created and performed numerous musical education shows for young children; teaching them the basics of musical understanding through playful interactive storytelling.
Upon moving to the United States in 2001, Christophe worked as a touring musician, leading his own band, Maria y el Sol, a colorful blend of diverse cultures and rhythms. After ten years of performing, life brought him from the South to Los Angeles where two new passions emerged: dog training and permaculture.
While Christophe continues to teach how to live more harmoniously with nature and how to create deeper companionship with canines, it was through the influence of the events of the past few years that he once again focused on his first love: Music. He is truly passionate about teaching music and helping people of all ages find the musician that exists inside every single one of us.
